Guidelines for PC File Formats

Please use these following steps before sending a PC file from Windows 95 or 98.

1. Download the SendUsArt Artwork Printer PPD file.  Save it to the desktop.
2. Once the file has downloaded, run "SENDUSART.EXE" from the desktop.
3. The "WinZip Self-Extractor" window will ask for a temporary folder to unpack the program.  Choose the default folder it provides (c:\windows\desktop).  Click "Unzip."

4. Once the file has unzipped, the confirmation window will appear.  Click "OK."

5. Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/5672.htm and download the PostScript Print Driver to the desktop. The file size is approximately 1.1 MB. (Please read Adobe’s license agreement before downloading).  Save it to the desktop.
6. Once the program has downloaded, run "APS426ENG.EXE" from the desktop.
7. The "WinZip Self-Extractor" window will ask for a temporary folder to unpack the program.  Choose the default folder it provides (c:\temp\adobe).  Click "Unzip."

8.  Once all the files have unzipped, the confirmation window will appear.  Click "OK."

9. The AdobePS 4.2 installer window will appear.  Read the "End User License Agreement."  Click "Accept."
   
   
   
   
10. The "AdobePS 4.2 PostScript Printer Driver Setup" window will appear.  Click "Next."
    
    
    
    
11. In the "Install Setup Program" window, choose "No."  Click "Next."
    
    
    
    
12. In the "Printer Type" window, choose "Local Printer."  Click "Next."
    
    
    
    
13. The "Install Postscript Printer from PPD File" window will now be visible.  In the “Directories," choose "c:\ ®Windows ®Desktop."  Now choose "SendUsArt Artwork Printer" from the “Postscript Printer Descriptions (PPD’s) available."  Click "Next."
    
    
    
    
14. The "Local Port Selection" window will now be visible.  Choose "File."  Click "Next."
    
    
    
    
15. The "Add Printer" window will be visible.  Keep the Printer Name as "SendUsArt Artwork Printer."  Choose "No" for all options.  Click "Next."
    
    
    
    
16. The "SendUsArtwork Printer Properties" Window will now be visible.  Click "OK."
    
    
    
    
17. The "Setup" window will ask you set up another printer.  Click "Exit."
    
    
    
    
18. The installation process is complete.  Now when completing a document in any application, select "Print."  Choose "SendUsArt Artwork Printer " under "Name."  Choose "Print to File."  Click "OK."
    
    
    
    
    
19. The "Print to file" window will appear.  Choose "Desktop" under "Save in." Save the document under a name befitting the company (i.e. ABCCorp).  Click "OK."
